| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | The Snapple Bowl is a high school football game played every year between Middlesex county and Union county kids. Well, here's the story, and notice how Middlesex loses. Sucks to be them. Middlesex defeated with :10 to go By Guy Kipp For the Star-Ledger Mike Tambini lined up to kick a 37-yard field goal that would have clinched a victory for Middlesex County in the eighth Snapple Bowl. But the Edison kicker never got the chance. With Middlesex County holding a six-point lead, the long snap was mishandled and picked up by Union County's Brandon Bracey of Linden, who returned the ball 75 yards for a touchdown with 10 seconds left. Steve Andriola of Union kicked the placement to end the tie and give Union County a 17-16 victory last night before 3,500 at East Brunswick High. With the victory, Union County evened the series at 4-4. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Who was coaching Middlesex Richie Kotite? What are you doing going for a 37 yard Field Goal. (Remember this is High School) which is about the equivalent of a 55 yd Field Goal in the NFL). Sit on the ball, and make them go 80+ yards in 20 seconds.  | ||||

The "Snapple bowl" woo-hoo, what a pretigious title to play for! I'm sorry for those who live in NJ, if you want to rag on LI people we have the Outback steakhouse Long Island vs. New York City challenge.
