O&A Board Regular Registered: Mar. 01 | If you could own a franchise, what city would it be in, and what would you call it? I bring this up because for a while now a few people have been trying to get a minor league baseball team in my town, and i have a good imagination when it comes to sports. My Team: Bergen Point Giants (SF Giants Affiliate) Stadium: Bayonne Bridge Park (Yet to be built, but yes, i drew a rendition of it :) ) League Affiliation: NY-Penn League (A) i have made logos and uniforms for the team already. i know, too much time on my hands, but i was wondering if anyone else had these some kind of imaginary teams for their home town. O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Well, i always wanted to own the New York Giants. Ive dreamed about that for a while. If i couldnt get them though, i would make up my own franchise. It would be the following: Team: New Jersey Pythons Colors: either red and white or orange and black Stadium: Natural grass stadium somewhere in north jersey, id have to buy a lot of acres of farmland, and turn it into a stadium and parking lots...probably call it GJP Stadium (my initials) Affiliation: NFL "I firmly believe that any man's finest hour - his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out, in a good cause, and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious." -Vince Lombardi "90% of baseball is mental, the other half is physical." - Yogi Berra

League Affiliation: NFL Colors: Black and Red The stadium would be really kewl. there would be a huge tombstone in the front. And Monument PArk would be kinda like the Yankees version except with tombstones. Psychopath Registered: Jul. 01 | I don't know why all their team colors are the same, but I've always thought it was pretty cool. Pittsburgh's definitely got a good history as a sports town. I always loved how the Steelers logo is only on one side of their helmets too.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Mar. 01 | Pittsburgh's team colors come from the city flag and seal. The Pirates adopted it. When the Steelers came along in '33, they played in the same park as the Pirates, and adopted their colors. When the Penguins came to town, they colors were originally Blue, Light Blue, and White, but by the '71 season, they went with tradition and changed over to Black and Gold.
