| O&A Board Regular Registered: Sep. 00  | ok hopefully this doesnt turn into a forum of little kids jokes but hey whatever. personally i am a HUGE fan of little league baseball. the world series is starting in a couple of days and i was wondering if anyone wants to maybe drive down to williamsport for a day- you get to see like 5 games or so. so post if you like the LLWS or whatever "i hate people that dont get it!" | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | The Little League World Series Brings back bad memories for me. The Year- 1991. Ozone Park Richmond Hill Wakefield. Queens Champion. City Championship Game against Staten Island. First Inning, They have 1st and 2nd, and our coach likes those trick plays and all, and has the Center Fielder come in to try and pick off the guy off 2nd after the Pitch. The Cathcher throws the ball over the Center Fielders Head, the Right Fielder was supposed to be backing up, but didn't. Ball goes to the wall. 2 Runs score. Final Score- Staten Island 2 Us 0. Staten Island went on to go to the Little League World Series and not only that, they were in the United States Championship Game before losing to a California Team. That one error and a dominant pitcher from them cost us a shot at playing in Williamsport. We gave Staten Island their best game, as they dominated other teams on their way to the Little League World Series. Oh by the way, That DOminant Pitcher for Staten Island was Jason Marquis. Current Starting Pitcher for the Atlanta Braves.  | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Sep. 00 | yes fran- he played for south shore, i live in staten.. how bout this 3 years ago or maybe 4 my little brother played for mid-island and was in bristol conn. if they won one more game they woul play on ESPN2 and the winner goes to the LLWS. my bro was playin maryland and his team was up by 3 runs in the bot of the 6th, two out... all of a sudden there was an error and two walks and then a grand slam... GAME OVER>.. a lil footnote to that story the team that played maryland in the championship was PA and my bro's team beat them 13-0 with their best pitcher... and so goes on my life!! :):) "I NEED TO GET OUT MORE"- ok b/c i am a huge sports fan?? and i played little league and was very close 2 going to the world series myself>? ummm sure "i hate people that dont get it!"
