I was talkin with a friend online and this question came up. I thought it would be interesting to see what u yankees fans thought.

So I pose this question: Who is Your Favorite Yankee of all time?

Mine is Donny Baseball. I thought he was a great player. He never was considered to be a dominate player but I really liked him. I thought it was fucked up how right after he leaves the Yanks won a title. Too bad he couldnt get a ring.

So who is yours?

Easily Donnie baseball. That was when I grew up and I had posters of him. If his career was a little longer he would have been a sure Hall of famer.

And I am not being funny about this, I actually liked Mike Paglialuro back in the day.

Good call on the Nettles and Munson...But my all time favorite Yankee? Mr. October. Reggie Jackson. Has provided me with most of the unforgettable moments in my Yankee Youth...

Second...Ron Guidry...was no better pitcher back in the day...

Lou Gehrig was and always will be the epidomy of a sportsman for me and a true yankee.

In my era i would have to say mattingly was too greedy a player and was a me me me player and is way over rated. Reggie jackson was a pompus prick and i hate him. So i can't really say who is my favorite yankee but i always had respect for o'neill and boomer.

You know I've been to Yankee Stadium over 40 times and I have yet to go in there. One of the disadvantages of sitting in the bleachers, no access to the rest of the stadium.I gotta get in there soon...

As a Met fan I eternally hated the Yanks, but as a kid I remember liking to watch Randolph and Winfield.

Honorable mentions...
Steve Howe (14 time drug offender)
Luis Pulonia (14 year old Tang chaser)
Andre Robertson (poor kid still can't walk)
Billy Martin (final words: that tree tastes good)

By the way Gonzo... You don't consider O'Neill pompous????

Just another observation of insanity.
