Maybe I am wrong on this but I think they were one of the bands who actually sounded better with a new singer. Totally different styles and what not. Pulled it off pretty good.

Nah - not better, just as good. Belladona had some sick moments in his time, and live he could hit the notes.

Other bands that have pulled this off -

Maiden (Paul Di'Anno was SICK, Dickinson rules, and even John Bush ain't bad)

Sabbath (I think Dio rules, so I may be jaded, but he sings with them just as good as Ozzy did).

gotta agree with dah Griz regarding Dio subbing in for Sabbath and the Dickinson point as well.

Actually, I never really dug Maiden with Di'Anno...

that may be true but how else would you describe them? I think they found a way to blend aspects of both emo & metal into their sounds...to some degree at least.

Children of Bodom are just about the coolest fucking band ever. Look for "Everytime I Die," "Children of Decadence," "Kissing the Shadows," and "Black Widow"
