Here's the dirty little secret they don't want you to know. Smokers die younger than non-smokers. This saves the government tons of money They don't have to pay SS for 20 or 30 years, or medicare. If no one smoked, and lived to 80 or 90 years old. The government would go broke paying all those extended medical bills. Smokers keep the system solvent.
