The Hamsters In His Head Are Wheezing...
#2
Yeah, he ain't too good on his toes, huh?

And you can see exactly why the press doesn't just go at him like a pack of dogs: those press conferences he has are tightly-- and I mean tightly-- regulated. A reporter who asks too damning a question will either find him/herself univited to the next conference, or at the very least removed from that very specified list of reporters who get to ask questions.

Is it fair? Of course not. Is it an unconstitutional denial of freedom of the press? Nope, since he still has a roomful of members of the free press reporting the goings-on. So he gets the best of both worlds.

Quote:He is like a programmed robot, akin to a Speak & Spell, who gives set answers, but as soon as the questions deviate, he's at a loss. He stammers, pauses, sweats, blathers, changes subject, and just seems lost.
Than I suppose you missed Condi Rice's testimony during the 9/11 commission. Now that was a case of preprogrammed responses, and she was clearly at a loss when questions deviated from what she prepared for.
