I think as we get older it's harder and harder to keep friends. When we were younger it was all about who had the cool new G.I. Joe or transformer, now it's like everyone is out for themselves or their views just get in the way with your friendship.

Some people's views makes it wrong.. I want my G.I. Joe to be a hard ass mofo with the kung-fu action grip.. I don't want my friends G.I. with the kung-fu action grip trying to jerk me off! It's not right Damn you!! Just drop it ok!?!? My child hood was ruined! :crackhead:

2 of my roommate i've known for over 10 years, the other i've known for 5. i have a close group of friends who I have known for 13+ years. we have managed to stay close over all these years, partially because we never really moved far away from each other. recently 4 of us got an apartment together and farther away from the rest of our friends but we still get together just about every weekend. i've met even more people through my close group of friends so it has grown from there.

i can see how distance can be a factor, i guess i've been lucky to have remained close to many of my childhood friends.

you reach a point when you decide which friends are worth keeping. some of my closest friends i met in grade school, some in high school, and some in my early 20s.

Whoa this thread is really well timed considering I just broke off a friendship because the guy is an ass. I usually only keep friendships with people that I can truly trust. People that are just cool to hang with usually end pretty badl.

I've known one of my best friends for 21 years now, and seeing that I am only 24, that's a really long time. I've had a bunch of friends that have lived far away, or still do. I tend to be a phone person, so it's very easy for me to stay in touch with them. But I also feel that I don't need to talk to them everyday to stay close. It could even be months for one reason or another and when I do talk to them, it's like nothing changed.
