A thread to discuss your screen name. Where did it come from. What was your inspiration? Some are obvious, others are not.

Mine was from the show, probably about 5 years ago or so, when they were still fairly new to the GR Market. They saw a picture, and couldn't say Cock Monster, so they referred to it as the Rock Monster. Hot Wings thought it was real, and EZ and FB made fun of him for it.

If you really hate Rush Limbaugh wannabes, here's what you do.

Listen to his show, or at least the commercials.

Then, call those advertisers and inform them you will not be making purchases from their establishments as they have endorsed a political commentator you disagree with vehemently.


So, that's how you do it. Call up your local steak n shake, for example, and let them know that neither you, nor your friends, will be dining there for the foreseeable future. Or at least for as long as spud has a job.

Enough people do this, and Spud won't have a job.


There, that's how you get him fired. It's out there.


Now here comes the more important question.... SHOULD you do this?

I mean, we're talking about a man's livelihood here. Wtf? I doubt the guy'll turn into a homeless, but it's not like jobs are a dime a dozen out there.

So, if you feel very strongly about his political commentary, you have your avenue of response. Rather than smashing the radio, or fuming impotently... vote with your dollar.

But it might be prudent to contact the program director of WGRD first, and inform him of your intentions in an effort to get Spud to tone down, or eliminate his political commentary, rather than outright lob the a-bomb by phoning six different companies and refusing to shop there.

Just keep in mind this is a guys job on the line, so think it through.

What has prompted this? Did your wife threaten to leave or did your kids find your stash? I doubt it because of a pang of conscience because of the porn itself. Just curious.

Well seeing as a lot of you have things to say about overrated movies, why not bring up some underrated movies. There are plenty of movies that don't really get the shine they deserve because something else big came out at the time, or it was ahead of it's time.

The best I can think of at the moment is suicide kings. At least I never heard of the movie until I saw it at the wal-mart DVD bargain bin.

I peruse the website digg.com quite a bit. Very recently, I've seen many more links posted regarding legalization of marijuana than usual. The Michael Phelps photo, and his subsequent firing by Kellogg's, the boycott of Kellogg's by groups like NORML, introduction of a bill in California to legalize and tax pot's sale, escalation of drug gang violence in Mexico, repealing of some drug laws in New York; it seems like this is a front burner issue, ATM. Does anyone else see this, too? Is legal pot on the horizon? A good thing? Bad thing? Whaddya think?

I'm disappointed that the stunt didn't last very long but that's really the nature of the beast. Although I must say, this was easily the best filmed stunt of all time. The picture in picture was great and it made me want to watch the video over and over again. They definitely had it covered on multiple angles like FB said.

Hopefully this means that the days of Gary having to get a plane ticket in order to be far enough away to film stunts are gone.
