  Something to laugh at.

Sometimes it's good to hear that old school discipline is still out there. I called home to talk to my Mom on Tuesday. First thing I hear is "Guess what your niece did?" Umm....there is no telling.

Apparently my 8 year old niece, got suspended from school for 3 days for sending her brother's teacher hate email. She got mad at her brother and sent his teacher an email from her email account, and signed it with his name.

Expressing the punishment with my co-workers, everyone doubled over laughing. Every morning "Granny boot camp" has started at 5:30 am, reading no talking all day. P.E. is scrubbing the 3 bathrooms for 30 minutes each. Bed time is promptly 8pm, after bath time and brushing teeth.

Most of my co-workers are wanting to add to more P.E time for my niece by offering up their homes....

  Tape the Chirstmas songs?
Posted by: goodmorningwow - 12-18-2008, 03:22 AM - Forum: Free Beer and Hot Wings Forum - No Replies

Do you guys plan on taping the Christmas songs on Friday? Part of the fun would be to see you guys singing it.

Gary could even stay in the same room and get close ups!

Hope they see this before Friday.

Is this valid concerns to gripe about??

1)The day I first came on to Shayla's team, that she was there, I was congratulating my friends on their candidate, Obama, winning. I was truly happy for them, and truly worried for the President. I voiced concern to them. Mentioning Kennedy, and hoping that nobody does anything stupid. To me, Obama is a Democrat, and Democrats just don't have lucky presidential runs. I saw nothing in his color in what I was saying. Next thing I know, I'm in a meeting being called a racist. That what I said could be considered racist,

  Attention Internet Explorer Users

Serious security flaw found in IE

Users of Microsoft's Internet Explorer are being urged by experts to switch to a rival until a serious security flaw has been fixed.

The flaw in Microsoft's Internet Explorer could allow criminals to take control of people's computers and steal their passwords, internet experts say.

Microsoft urged people to be vigilant while it investigated and prepared an emergency patch to resolve it.

Internet Explorer is used by the vast majority of the world's computer users.

"Microsoft is continuing its investigation of public reports of attacks against a new vulnerability in Internet Explorer," said the firm in a security advisory alert about the flaw.

Microsoft says it has detected attacks against IE 7.0 but said the "underlying vulnerability" was present in all versions of the browser.

Other browsers, such as Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari, are not vulnerable to the flaw Microsoft has identified.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The vulnerability apparently affects IE versions 5 through 8 beta, so if you haven't already dumped IE, now would be a good time.

Which of you have purchased an informercial product? I've chosen to word it that way to include products you might have bought at a brick and mortar store that could have also been purchased through the infomercial.

My informercial product purchases have been pretty slim, but here's a list with their outcomes:

- Ronco Showtime Rotisserie. I used to be an insurance agent, and one of my clients had two sitting on his counter, so I struck up a conversation with him about them. He swore by them. After hearing me mention it many times, my wife bought one for my birthday last year. I LOVE IT. I don't use it nearly as much as I'd like to, but it's the best kitchen tool I've ever used.

-Hercules Hooks. I didn't technically buy these. My mom did, and gave me a handful. They're pretty slick. Plus you don't have to screw around with finding the stud or using anchors.

-Six Week Body Makeover. Also on the praises of someone close to me. A GREAT meal/exercise plan. Expensive, but worth every penny.

-Get Rich on Ebay. I don't remember the actual name of this thing, and I didn't at all plan on it working, but I did buy it, just because I was curious what the guy was selling. LOL

Anyone else?
