oh, and the Mayans do know their shit. Their culture lasted for thousands of years and they were great mathematicians. Several cultures have independently determined a significant change in our world on that date. As to what actually happens, I guess will just wait and see.
You ever think that they just got bored and said "hey, I'm not going to be alive during this time frame so why am I doing this, and not porking the wife...." Our people these days wouldn't go that far
