I drive for work. My choices for comuting are my bike (40mpg) or my Ram (14mpg) So ofcourse I want to ride the bike when I can. Now my employer is dictaing that I can't ride the bike due to liability.
My question for any lawyer folks is can they state what I can and can't drive? I have full coverage on the bike so if anything were to happen it would be covered. The only variable is workman's comp. There was an incident where a girl in a very similar job got in an accident in her car resulting in a dislocated shoulder...workman's comp didn't cover it as it was her vehicle eventhough it was on company time.
So I say, if workman's comp isn't going to cover my injuries while i drive for work, why does it matter what vehicle i'm on?

I can think of one member who probably knows the answer to this question. Seeing, however, that he is apparently convinced that I'm part of an anti-American, anti-freedom conspiracy of sorts, I don't expect his feedback.
Anydangway, for the longest time I've been wondering what settings are best for using my DSLR camera to take photos of lightning. Any tips?

What do you read?
I've been ODing on Harlen Coben as of late. His Myron Bolitar books are outstanding - great characters, excellent dialogue, very humorous. Good brain candy.
About a year ago I got turned on to Ted Dekker. His Circle Trilogy (Black, Red, White) was probably the most engaging series of books I've ever read. If you want a good action-packed saga with some not-so-obvious Christian overtones, that's the series to check out. It's a good message, but it doesn't hit you over the head with it like the Left Behind series. I think anyone would like those books, as the Christian undertones are pretty subtle.

Re: American Jobs.
My dad's "American Truck" (GMC) was made in Mexico and Canada...hardly American. The only Americans making money from the sale of that truck were the fat cats in the tall buildings that own stock in the company.
Meanwhile, my father in laws Toyota was made in Indiana. There are hundreds of employees putting together 'foreign' trucks, but this time the fat cats are in a different country.
Now I'd much rather see guys and gals like me making the money and having a job as opposed to the fat cats.
personally where I sit i'm buying the better truck for the better price. I don't care where it was made, but I were to decide solely on the "American-ness" of it I'd go Toyota

Ijust answered 8 CL personal ads. How many do you think will come back as spam ?
I'm thinking 6 out of 8.
How many do you think will actually result in a face to face meeting ?
I say zero.
But I'm happily optimistic.
